SPRING SOCCER UPDATE!
SOME IMPORTANT INFO AS WE GET CLOSER TO LAUNCHING SPRING SOCCER!
Grass Field Status – Our grass fields are currently closed and not to be used. The opening will be contingent on weather and field conditions but expected to be ready when we start spring soccer.
Artificial Turf Field Status – the ATF is a community field and HUB Soccer has it scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursday nights and all day Sundays. A schedule for travel teams is in progress.
Field Closure – when fields are closed by the Township of Denville we expect our coaches, parents, and players not to use them. There are penalties reducing use for all sports organizations if there are activities on closed fields. Note the Denville Police Dept. is currently investigating snow removal and unauthorized use of the ATF during its closure.
Recreation Schedule/Team Assembly – As advertised in our spring soccer registration newsletter, schedules and team assignments are targeted for the last week in March, the first week in April. Please do not email or call us for a schedule because there is none at this point. As always, if the schedule does not work for you, we will give you a prompt full refund.
Coach Inventory – Some of our divisions do not have enough coaches and that presents a BIG PROBLEM in putting a division together besides schedules. Our division directors will reach out as needed to make sure each team has a coach. Our spring soccer enrollment now has over 400 participants, which translates into lots of teams.
Covid Guideline Update – HUB Soccer’s COVID 19 Sub-committee will be meeting in late March to review the latest State of NJ and NJYS directives and recommended guidelines. After our review, we will update as needed and communicate to you.
Late Registration Reminder – There are still some openings in some divisions. When a division is at 100% capacity, the system will automatically close. If you are still thinking of registering late, do not hesitate to sign up.
We thank you for your participation, support, and confidence during these challenging times. Our spring recreation enrollment is now at the same level as the fall of 2020 with over 400 players.
