HUB SOCCER & 8 v 8 SOCCER ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

HUB Soccer and the 8 v 8 Summer League of Denville academic scholarship guidelines and applications are now available at the Morris Knolls High School guidance counseling office.
* Applications are to be submitted by the guidance office and grade rank/GPA transcripts must be certified.
* April 6 is the due date applications must be received by HUB Soccer and 8 v 8 Soccer.
* There are eligibility differences between the scholarships, so please read carefully before submitting.
* The 8 v 8 Scholarship is for MKHS girls only.
* The HUB Soccer Scholarship is for MKHS boys and girls, however, any former player attending an academy high school can have their guidance office contact Don Casse (doncasse@aol.com – 973-627-8173) for the forms.

HUB SOCCER BOYS & GIRLS SOCCER SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Eligibility

  1. Must have played high school soccer for a minimum of 3 years.
  2. Must be a graduating senior.
  3. Is on the soccer team their senior year.
  4. Must be a Denville resident.
  5. Must have played in HUB Soccer recreation and/or travel program prior to high school. 
  6. Must have been rostered or 2nd carded to a HUB Soccer travel team as a U12, U13, U14, U15 or recreation team grades 6, 7 and 8.    

Award Criteria/Weighting 

  1. Class rank and Grade Point Average – 25%
  2. School Activities – 20%
  3. Community Activities – 20%
  4. Employment Activities – 10%
  5. Essay – 25% 
  6. Must attach a letter of acceptance for a post high school education at college, vocational or technical school.
  7. Must furnish proof of enrollment to receive award.

Additional Information

  1. Awarded to 1 or more seniors 
  2. Annual award amount to be established by the HUB Soccer of Denville, Inc. scholarship committee and approved annual budget. 
  3. Any board members with children applying for the scholarship will not be permitted to participate in the evaluation process or the selection of the recipients.
  4. The President or another board member will publicize the availability of the scholarship in February of each year. 
  5. Application must be received on or before April 6, 11:59 PM. Any applications received or postmarked after April 6 are not eligible for consideration.
  6. Your GPA and class rank must be certified by your Guidance Dept. and they will mail your application.

8 v 8 SOCCER SUMMER LEAGUE GIRLS SOCCER SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Eligibility-

  1. Must have played soccer at Morris Knolls for a minimum of 3 years.
  2. Must be a Morris Knolls High School senior.
  3. Is on the soccer team their senior year.
  4. Must be a Denville resident.
  5. Must have played in HUB Soccer’s recreation or travel program prior to high school.
