8v8 Soccer and HUB Soccer are teaming up again to offer a basic skills summer clinic for our younger players PreK > 2nd grade. All players get an 8 v 8 Soccer t-shirt. Details are below:
DATES/TIME: Saturdays of 6/29, 7/13, 7/20 and 7/27 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
LOCATION: Upper Knuth Front Soccer Field, Cooper Rd., Denville
COST: $70 per player

COACHING STAFF: College and high school soccer players under the supervision of 8 v 8 Soccer staff.
VENUE: The program will focus on basic soccer skills (dribbling, passing, shooting) and will incorporate agility training in to the skill development. Competitive play will be part of the program, but will depend on the number of players in each grade.

Registration for the upcoming fall soccer season is officially open. Please read the important information below:
DIVISIONS 3 & 4 (GRADES 5, 6, 7 & 8) - These are draft divisions and we will not be able to accommodate any requests for team placement for any reason, so please do not ask or write a request on the registration form.
DIVISIONS PREK > DIVISION 5 - We will do our best to accommodate requests for team placement only if you register before the deadline. After the deadline placement is at the director's discretion depending on roster room and team parity. Please write your request in the margin of the registration form.
ALL DIVISIONS PRACTICE and GAME TIME REQUESTS – Practice days and times are based on your coaches’ schedule and field availability. Games are scheduled based on the number of teams in each division and field availability. Please do not ask us for a specific day or time for your child to practice and/or play games. We are not able to run a program this large based on your family schedule. If the schedule does not work out for you, let us know before the season starts and we will send you a full refund.
RECREATION PLAYER COST - $70 per player and $120 family maximum for 2 or more. After 6/28 the cost is $120 per player and the family discount is no longer available. No late registrations permitted after 8/1. Any registrations received after 8/1 are subject to an additional $15 processing fee ($135 total cost per player) and will not be considered for placement until after 8/20. Placement will be contingent on having roster space available. If you register on time there will not be a problem in assigning your child to a team.
RECREATION VENUE - Teams will practice 1 or 2 nights during the week and play games Saturday mornings. Divisions 3 and 4 will play some night games. Practices usually start at 5:30, 6:00 or 6:15 and are set by the coach. Games are Saturday mornings. Specific practice nights and game times are TBA until registration is completed and we know how many players and teams we have. PreK players must be age 4 by 9/1 to participate.

MUNCHKIN VENUE - Munchkins play Tuesdays at 1:00 PM and Saturdays at 1:00 PM at Upper Knuth Soccer Field. Munchkins is non competitive, consists of learning basic soccer skills in a fun atmosphere. Program is for ages 3.5, 4 and 5.
CHALLENGER PLAYER COST - $35 per Challenger player, $105 for Challenger and 1 Recreation Player and $120 for 3 or more family players. The registration deadline is 6/28 and the family discount is not available after 6/28.
CHALLENGER VENUE – The Challenger Division is for special needs players age 4 to 18. Challengers play Saturday afternoons at 2:00 PM at Upper Knuth Soccer Field. Challengers do a variety of basic soccer drills, running and some scrimmaging.
REGISTRATION OPTIONS – You can register on line (link below) by credit card or print and mail a registration form in with a check. Please make sure you put your child’s grade on the registration form, sign the form and fully complete all information. Do not mail or drop off your form at Denville Recreation as they are not HUB Soccer.
FINANCIAL HARDSHIP – Any family having financial difficulty can have their child or children play at no cost. Contact Don Casse, President 973-627-8173 email@example.com or your division director for details. Requests are handled confidentially. Please contact us before 6/28 so we are able to place your child.
OPENING DAY > SATURDAY 9/7 – Picture day is 9/7 at Gardner Field lower pavilion. Games will also start 9/7. The end date of fall soccer is TBA and always depends on the impact of weather to our game schedule. Depending on your coaches’ vacation schedule, some teams will start practices in late August others right before the season starts.

* Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to sign in. Players should be signed in by their coach or team parent so required information is legible and can be put in our rating data base.
* Players should be attired as they would be for a practice and/or game with a water bottle.
* We highly recommend attending both tryouts.
* Venue: players will be evaluated in basic soccer skills (running, dribbling, passing, etc.) as well as competitive play (small and/or large sided games).
* Players will be evaluated by independent paid evaluators who do not know the participants, have not trained or will train them in the future.
* We recommend you read the essay http://hubsoccer.org/SoccerPrograms.php to learn more about travel soccer as it is a competitive program requiring more time and commitment than recreation soccer.
* In case of a rain out, make up dates are TBA.
Below is HUB Soccer's spring schedule We start Saturday 4/13. We have over 400 spring players and 39 teams, and with fewer fields available, our schedule is built to make sure our recreation and travel players all get optimal playing time. If any of you have a schedule conflict and are not able to play on these days and/or times, please email firstname.lastname@example.org before 4/13 for a full refund. Please include your child's name and school grade in the subject line.
Grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 will get professional training on Saturdays either before or after games. Division directors will provide your coach with a schedule. This is a "value added" at no extra cost.
